The name Cataclysm is applied to several elements of the Transformers franchise.

In the BotCon storyline Transformers: Reaching the Omega Point, Cataclysm is a Predacon Herald of Shokaract and rival to Antagony for the position of Herald Maximo. He is also known to have a brother known as the Cub, who after a failed mission was attacked by Cataclysm himself and left on the edge of death. After merging with an ancient Autobot known as the Veteran and becoming Windrazor, the Cub returned to battle Cataclysm, both of them falling into a transwarp vortex leading to prehistoric Earth at the time of the Beast Wars. Cataclysm, who feared transwarp technology, had his fears realized during their battle, as Windrazor pushed him through a rift in the vortex opened by their fighting that caused him to be ripped apart.

  • Cataclysm (Unproduced)
A purple and green repaint of Transmetal Cheetor was intended to represent Cataclysm, but it never reached the production stage.

In the Aligned Continuity an event known as the Great Cataclysm is known to have rocked Cybertron in ancient times as recorded by Transformers: The Covenant of Primus. This event saw the extinction of a number of Transformer breeds, who were not renewed by new members following the event; the humanoid Transformers survived due to being led to safety by Prima, who vanished shortly thereafter.
