CyberDefenders is a cybersecurity training platform focused on cybersecurity skills development. The platform provides learning resources and certification for different job roles, such as security operations center (SOC) analysts, threat hunters, digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) professionals, and members of blue teams.[1][2][3][4]

CyberDefenders offers the Certified CyberDefender (CCD), a vendor-neutral, hands-on blue team training and certification. The platform also provides access to various tools and labs for analyzing data and investigating security incidents.[4]

History

CyberDefenders was founded by Muhammad Alharmeel and Ahmed Shawky in response to a perceived lack of a user-friendly platform for security analysts.[5] Their aim was to provide high-quality resources to help the community practice more effectively, connect with peers, and showcase their skills.[5] The platform offers resources for a range of defensive skills, requiring different approaches for setting up the practice environment and finding proper validation mechanisms.[2][3]
