BMOG Toys

Smackrabbit is a character from the BMOG (Bio-Mechanical Ordnance Gestalts) toy line. He is meant to be used as either a stand-alone figure, or as accessories to any toy capable of using 5mm port accessories, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, Zoids Blox, and many others.

Smackrabbit inspired BMOG characters like Mega-Smackrabbit, Smackrabbit 2.0 and Ultra Smackrabbit.

Development

Fundraising for the BMOG Toys bear and manta mold was done through Kickstarter. The goal of raising $19,000 was surpassed by the end of the fundraising period on December 13th, 2013.

In April 2014 BMOG Toys released alternate build images of their BMOG prototypes, including a rabbit build.[1]

The military black colorway of the bear and manta design were released at BotCon 2014.

An image of a rabbit built using white test shot parts was posted to the BMOG toys web site in April 2014.[2]

Smackrabbit was designed by combining some parts of Ursenal into a new design.[3]

Fictional biography

Smackrabbit is a rabbity sidekick that brings its foes down with missiles and it’s potent headbutt attack. It was brought to life when weapons made by a group of evil interdimensional arms dealers were exposed to the power of the last world seed. He breaks down into an ionic shock hammer which serves as his seat of intelligence, two anti-protonic missile launchers, a steel rending combat claw, and a pan-dimensional scanner.

Fiction

Smackrabbit appeared in the 2017 story "Black on Black" by Daniel Adkins where he was allied with Ursenal in a fight against Mant-axe.[4]
