Deep Blue is a fictional character and robot toy made by BMOG Toys in 2015. He is a heroic robotic manta ray who turns into an arsenal of weapons.

BMOG Toys

Deep Blue is a character from the BMOG (Bio-Mechanical Ordnance Gestalts) toy line. He is not an homage to any existing character, but meant to be used as either a stand-alone figure, or as accessories to any toy capable of using 5mm port accessories, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, Zoids Blox, and many others.

Development

Troop said he designed the BMOG Toys bear and manta mold in Studio 3D. The axe form is inspired by the axe that comes with He-Man.

Fundraising for the BMOG Toys bear and manta mold was done through Kickstarter. The goal of raising $19,000 was surpassed by the end of the fundraising period on December 13th, 2013.

Bearald and Ray Mant the Manta-Ger were rewards for the unsuccessful Lost Protectors Kickstarter campaign.

In October 2015 the cobalt blue bear and manta BMOG was released under the names Cobiak and Deep Blue.

Fictional biography

The heroic Deep Blue was brought to life when weapons made by a group of evil interdimensional arms dealers were exposed to the power of the last world seed. He is a member of the Augmentoids. He breaks down into gun and battle axe.

Comics

Deep Blue and his parts appeared in several BMOG Toys comics. Drag Strip was wielding weapons from Bearium and Gamma-Ray while he talked with Alpha Bravo who was wielding weapons from Cobiak and Deep Blue.

When Sunstreaker appeared in combat with a helipack made from Cobiak, Deep Blue, Mant-Axe and Ursenal and two rifles from Cobiak, Offroad responded with an anti-aircraft gun made of pieces of Peg-Paw Plundor and Dread Pickaxe Raybot.

Galvatronus deserved a big weapon in battle, so he carried the Obliteration Cannon made of parts of Cobiak, Deep Blue, Mant-Axe and Ursenal. He also carried an axe from Dread Pickaxe Raybot, a rifle and scanner from Peg-Paw Plundor, a serrator axe from Mant-Axe and a plutonium rifle from Bearium.

Cobiak turns from a robotic bear to two rifles, two rocket launchers, a hammer, a tuning fork, a scanner and a connector. He shares a mold with Bearium, Carbearator, Peg-Paw Plundor, Solarbear and Ursenal.

Deep Blue turns from a robotic manta ray to duel barreled laser pistol and battle axe. He shares a mold with Chopp-Orr, Dread Pickaxe Raybot, Gamma-Ray, Mant-Axe and Pick-Slaughter/Sea-Labrys.

Comes with a sticker sheet.

Pieces of Cobiak are used in the design of ApeL.A.W., Doomchicken, Quadrotitan and UltraMog WarMech.

Pieces of Deep Blue are used in the design of Doomchicken and Quadrotitan.
