Vicel Victoria
Vicel Victoria Pimentel Peralta (born November 30, 1992), also known as Lysee, is a Latin musician, actress, and model.[1]
Early life and education
Lysee was born in the Dominican Republic and grew up in Santo Domingo with her mother, Leoncia Peralta, a high school teacher, and her father, Víctor José, a Martial Arts teacher.[2]
She began singing at a young age, and by age ten, she was singing with the church choir. She also studied dance, learned to swim, and learned martial arts while she graduated from high school.[2] She also studied a year of dentistry in college.
Lysee moved to the United States with her family when she was sixteen and spent the rest of her childhood in Bronx, New York.[3] In 2015, she moved to Miami, Florida, to continue promoting her music and acting career. She also studied real estate, singing and music in Miami.[3]
Career
Lysee wrote the song 'I want to be a Vessel' with inspiration from Bible and a Christian book she read when she was seven years old.[3][2]
She recorded her first song, Mother (Madre), at the age of twelve, and then at the age of sixteen, she recorded her second single, You are my Peace (Tu eres mi Paz).[3][2][4]
She only initially wrote and produced Christian music, but in 2015, Lysee released her first secular song, Goodbye. Lysee also starred in the Cuban-American singer Pitbull's music video for the song Green Light.[3][5][4]
Her acting career includes a role in the HBO television series Ballers and the Netflix show Bloodline, which garnered her attention and paved the way for other projects.[3][5]

In 2016, a book produced by Devine Evans was published called sheet music, the diary of a songwriter, where Lysee is part of this project.[7]
In 2017, Lysee appeared in the movie Baywatch alongside the Rock, Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, and Pamela Anderson, among others. She has also worked with Andy Garcia, Omar Benson Miller, and John David Washington.[3][5][4]
Lysee presents her song "Te Encanta" in the television series "In from the Cold" and “Maldivas” produced by Netflix in 2022.
