Sonal Pradhan (born August 23) is an Indian singer, music composer, and songwriter hailing from Dehradun, Uttarakhand. She gained recognition in the entertainment industry for her exceptional talent and versatility in music.

Early Life and Background

Sonal Pradhan was born into a middle-class family to Anuradha Pradhan and SP Pradhan in Dehradun. She completed her schooling at CJM (Convent of Jesus and Mary) in Dehradun. After completing her high school education, Sonal initially pursued the science stream but eventually decided to leave it behind to pursue her passion for music. She even cleared the IIT BArch entrance exam but chose to focus on her music career.

Music Career

Sonal's journey in music began at a very young age. She started learning music from her mother at the age of 3 and a half. By the age of 4, she had already started performing on stage. Sonal received formal training in Indian classical music from esteemed musicians, Jindey Guruji and Sir Suchit Narang, when she was just 4 years old. Her exceptional talent and dedication to music were evident when she won her first Best Singer Award at the age of 5.

Over the years, Sonal Pradhan's music career continued to flourish. In 2008, she emerged as the winner of the Hum Tum talent hunt. Her outstanding contributions to music were recognized when she received the Youth Icon National Award and the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Award.

In 2018, Sonal got her breakthrough opportunity when she collaborated with renowned film director Vikram Bhatt on the web series "Maaya2" and "Zakhmi" as a music composer and singer. Her soulful rendition of the song "Apne Hi" from Maaya2 received immense acclaim and popularity.

Sonal Pradhan has collaborated with numerous well-known artists in the music industry, including Neha Kakkar, Sunidhi Chauhan, Asees Kaur, Ankit Tiwari, Amit Mishra, Sunny Leone, Yasser Desai, and many more. Personal Life

Sonal Pradhan is the only child of her parents, and she enjoys their unwavering support in her music career. Despite facing a severe throat infection that rendered her unable to speak for a year, Sonal's determination and her mother's courage pushed her to overcome the obstacles. During her period of vocal rest, Sonal discovered her talent for composing and writing music. Inspired by her mother's singing on the tunes she played on the harmonium, Sonal began her journey as a music composer.

Education

Sonal Pradhan completed her schooling at CJM (Convent of Jesus and Mary) in Dehradun. She further pursued her education at Graphic Era University, Dehradun, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Honors). Additionally, Sonal holds a Prabhakar degree in Hindustani classical music, showcasing her dedication to her craft.
