Sergio Mannino Studio is an American integrative award-winning architectural branding agency specializing in creating brands, interiors, residential, retail stores, and furniture for both private and commercial environments.[1]

Overview

Sergio Mannino Studio was established in 2008 by Sergio Mannino. He graduated from the University of Florence’s Architecture program in 1999. He worked with radical design masters Ettore Sottsass and Remo Buti. Before moving to New York in 2001, he taught interior architecture at the University of Florence for three years. In 2002, Mannino organized a solo show at the Memphis-Postdesign Gallery in Milan, where he displayed nine built furniture designs and 100 watercolors under Sottsass' guidance. From 2005 until 2008, Mannino ran the U.S. branch of Studio 63, the retail design agency behind the success of Miss Sixty and many other brands. Mannino is a regular contributor to Forbes with articles on retail, business, brand development, and design and has spoken at international retail conferences. Over 2000 retail owners use his insights through his regular email newsletter.[2][3][4]

In 2016, Sergio Mannino Studio announced the launch of its online design store within the premier luxury online design destination, 1st Dibs.[5]

Sergio Mannino Studio is headquartered in Brooklyn, New York. The studio is acknowledged globally because of its strong foundation in Italian design and aesthetics. It has completed over 250 global projects, often featured in prestigious magazines, books, and blogs throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. Sergio Mannino Studio has a dedicated and passionate team of architects, writers, dreamers, interior designers, product and graphic designers, branding consultants, and strategists. The studio’s clients include Balmain, Prada, Lexus, Kensiegirl, Glam Seamless, Miss Sixty, Miu Miu, Vince Camuto, and Bottega Veneta, among others.[6][7][8]

Sergio Mannino Studio was initially retail design focused, but over time, it diversified its portfolio, involving a broad range of residential, office, retail stores, branding, and furniture design projects.[9][10][11][12] The studio aims to create unique spaces that reflect our times, blending classic Italian design with contemporary flair. "Whatever I design, I always think about the way people live and interact in today's world – I'm not interested in replicating the past. Every time we design we try as much as we can to do something that never has been done before. We try always to push an envelope."[13]

At Sergio Mannino Studio, the team embarks on each project by delving deep into the client's brand values and understanding their target audience. This meticulous research lays the foundation for developing a comprehensive design strategy that allows them to create a tailor-made and unique design that aligns with the client's objectives. Sergio Mannino Studio has designed retail spaces in New York and other international markets for fast-growing brands such as Glam Seamless, Medly Pharmacy, and Vince Camuto.[14][15][16][17]

Sergio Mannino Studio has also paid Tribute to John McCracken with Limited Edition ‘Dear John’ Lights Collection.[18]
