Salman Zafrulla Khan
Salman Zafrulla Khan (born August 29, 1981) is an expert in advisory and capital markets, funds management asset financing. He is the CEO and President of The Gideon Group Inc.
Early Life and Education
Khan was born to Zafrulla Khan and Nishat Zafrulla Khan in Bangalore, India. In 1985, he moved to Saudi Arabia with his parents, staying in Al Baha and Jeddah, respectively. In 1993 after the first Gulf War, he moved with his family to Kuwait and lived there till 2009. In 2010, Khan moved to Dubai and continues to live in Dubai while traveling worldwide due to his work.
He received his Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Master of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies with a concentration in Management.[1][2] He holds a Ph.D. in Business Management.[3]
Career
He served in the position of Senior Marketing Officer at the National Bank of Kuwait,[4] and Senior Sales Manager at Air Arabia.[5] In 2004, Khan worked for Jazeera Airways, Kuwait’s second national airline,[1] and played a vital role in launching the Airline’s sales channels across the region.[6][4]
In 2011, Khan joined the Sterling & Wilson associates of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group,[6] a $4 billion Indian conglomerate, as their Global Head of Business development.[1][5][2]
From 2015 to 2016, he served as the Managing Director (Middle East) at Avio Diepen BV.[6]
In August 2016, he became the President and CEO of The Gideon Group Inc.,[6][4][7][2] a Scottsdale, Arizona-based financial services company that provides capital advisory and financial structuring, capital access, and direct investment.[8][9] The company has structured and provided funding for multiple projects, private and sovereign, one of which is for a $488M Renewable energy project in Cambodia.[9]
The Gideon Group is actively involved in providing financial solutions to large-scale projects around the world and works with companies and investment houses such as Mesirow & Oppenheimer and is represented by Taylor English Duma Gideon Groups' attorney of record in the United States & Globally.
He is a Member of the Board at Opulence Capital Management.[10]
