Mohammad Sheikh Shahinur Rahman's father Mohammad Sheikh Montaz Uddin Fakir and mother Fatema Begum. He is the fourth of four siblings. Elder brother: Mohammad Sheikh Billal Hossain, younger brother politician, poet, writer, columnist Mohammad Sheikh Kamaluddin Sharon and sister Taslima Akhter Shanta.
Childhood and education
Mohammad Sheikh Shahinur Rahman was born in Kishtapur village of Itna Upazila in Kishoreganj District, Bangladesh. Kabir's early education started at Kishtapur Government Primary School in his village. Later he gave SSC exam from Chowganga Shaheed Smriti High School and HSC exam from Bajitpur Government College.
