Jill Bittinger
Jill Dianne Bittinger (born April 13, 1963) is an American education influencer. As founder of the company Transformed Education, Bittinger helps solve teacher burnout by strengthening heart-centered mindfulness, social/emotional connection and sparking question-centered learning through stimulating curiosity. She advocates interpersonal skills that translate to resilience and connection to authentic joy. Through her work as an elementary and college educator, author, speaker, video creator, and entrepreneur, Bittinger communicates the importance of uniting body, mind, and spirit in learning environments.[1][2]
Early Life and Education
Bittinger was born to Richard and Sara Bittinger. She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of La Verne and an MA in Dance Education from the University of California, Los Angeles.[3] She received an Elementary Teacher Certification from Rio Salado and Montessori Certification in Primary and Elementary from NAMC.[4]
Bittinger has continued to expand her career through the ACUE and Rio Salado courses on Effective College Instruction while creating assignments for the Maricopa Colleges Open Educational Resources through the STEAM Creator Fest program. She regularly attends Educational Leadership conferences and is working on her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Liberty University.
Career
After completing her Master's degree in California, Bittinger spent ten years in the New York area as a Multicultural Teaching and Performing Artist.[1][5] She then moved to Arizona, where she pursued a career in early childhood and elementary education.[4] Once awakened to the path of Maria Montessori's work, Bittinger became certified in this model of whole-child education and has served as a lead Montessori teacher for over ten years.
In building bridges between body, mind, and spirit through Montessori education, she also built bridges between cultures, teaching for two years in Cancun, Mexico, and becoming bilingual. Bittinger now integrates Montessori holistic principles into mainstream environments. She does this at her STEAM school, PTAA in Arizona, as well as coaching teachers serving as Program Supervisor at Rio Salado, and as an entrepreneur in the company she founded, Transformed Education, LLC.[3] and founding her own company, Transformed Education, LLC.[5]
She is a member of the ASCD Teacher's Organization, the Montessori Foundation[6], and the Education 2.0 network.
Bittinger has written two books, Teaching with the Soul in Mind: Connecting Content, Community and the Creative Spirit, and Peace Education: Our Time is Now. She is impassioned as an activated change agent to empower whole child modalities that also consider the whole educator: body, mind, emotions, and spirit.[7] She contributes to this paradigm shift by promoting Montessori methodology, mindfulness, heart math scientific findings, soul shoppe communication skills, and the STEAM hands-on approach to learning.
Bittinger presented as a panelist and individual speaker at the Global Foundations in Education and Learning and the Education 2.0 international conference.[3][2] She also hosts online summits that feature educational leaders paving pathways in transforming learning environments through uniting body, mind, and spirit.[7]
Bittinger is currently developing courses and apps to give educators tools and strategies that unite mind, body, and spirit. The work includes her wisdom and features the leading position of her community of transformative educational leaders. Her creative projects in the works include: "Marvelous Math: connecting kids and the cosmos," "Empowered Educators: uniting Body, Mind and Spirit in learning environments," and "PEPR: Positive Emotional Peer Regard" enhancing peer to peer communication skills.
Bittinger was named to the Top 100 Leaders in Education by the Global Forum for Education and Learning in 2021.[6][8]

Personal Life
Bittinger is married to William Larime and has a son, Robert Armand Hoag.
