Ivan Krcelic

Ivan Krcelic (born June 23, 1987) is an Argentinian-born American-Croatian former professional tennis player,[1] tennis coach, and entrepreneur. He is the Founder of Tennis-Prime Academy.[2]

Early Life and Education

Hailing from Argentina, Buenos Aires, Krcelic was born to Adrian Krcelic and Ligia Martin.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales (UCES) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Krcelic is a PTR and PPR Certified Coach.

Career

Krcelic has more than 20 years of experience in coaching, specializing in psychomotor activity, teamwork, and child psychology. He coached celebrities in Manhattan tennis clubs, including Vanderbilt Tennis Club, Sutton East Tennis Club, and Yorkville Tennis Club.

Krcelic is the Head Director of Fort Lee-based Tennis-Prime Academy,[1] established in 2017 after receiving funds from a financial investor.[2] The academy is focused on helping aspiring tennis players walk through the path of competitive tennis from youth up to division one in college. Tennis-Prime Academy started with a few kids from Manhattan moving to Fort Lee, New Jersey, renting courts in a private club. Later, the academy started the first summer camp, recruiting kids from Hoboken, Jersey City, and Edgewater.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Tennis-Prime Academy was approved by the health department in New Jersey to be opened. The academy plans to expand to new locations and set up several sports in the New Jersey area, including pickleball, soccer, and basketball, to help kids enter college in D1, D2, and D3 without tuition.

In August 2021, Tennis-Prime hosted the first annual Park Series Tennis tournament, in partnership with DMG Investments, in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Most players participating there have been division one players turning professionals, such as Julian Zlobinsky.[2]

Personal Life

Krcelic is married to Catalina Duarte. He resides at One Park condos.[2]
