The Gastwirtschaftler is an online course for prospective self-employed in the gastronomy. Based on his experience as an employee and self-employed, Alexander Kouba shows all the necessary steps from the idea to implementation.

About the online course

The online course is divided into 15 chapters and one bonus chapter. In the online course the most common content that a prospective self-employed in the gastronomy needs on the way to self-employment is collected. Over 50 videos, 13 hours of video material and 6 download files are offered. The content is presented in explanatory videos and step-by-step instructions.

About the founder

The Gastwirtschaftler was founded by the Austrian Alexander Kouba. The academic from Vienna initially took a technical path and studied urban renewable energy technologies and building technology and management.

In 2013, while studying, he began to work in the gastronomy. He started at a staff leasing company, where he worked at various events and company celebrations. He then moved to a hood restaurant in Gumpoldskirchen. The large gastronomic restaurant managed gourmet gastronomy, bus groups of up to 300 people and its own vinotheque and attached winery. He worked there as a waiter in all areas.

In 2016 he started planning his own catering business, which he put into practice the following year. Starting as a one-man show in the take-away area, he established a second location and expanded his business to include catering and events. He has completed numerous B2C & B2B events, as well as company celebrations, weddings, private celebrations and congresses with his company.

The experiences he made there were structured and poured into an online course.
