Early Life and background
Dr. Bhuvan Nagpal was born on 23rd August 1988 in Hisar. He did his early schooling in Fatehabad, Haryana and passed his matriculation and higher secondary from CBSE affiliated New Yashoda Public School, Hisar. He is a highly organized, dedicated, and experienced professional in the medical field specialized in Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology and Microbiology and Clinical Biochemistry who has sound knowledge of laboratory medicine with strong diagnostic and research acumen. He completed his B.D.S. from Manav Rachna Dental College, Faridabad, Haryana and M.D.S. in Oral Pathology and Microbiology from JSS Dental College & Hospital, Mysuru, Karnataka. He has been a university topper throughout his under-graduation and post-graduation for which he has been honored with Gold Medal and many awards, scholarships and grants. [1][2]
Personal Life
Dr. Bhuvan Nagpal belongs to a well cultured Punjabi Khatri family of Hisar. His father was Senior Manager in Punjab National Bank. His mother was Associate Professor & HOD in the Department of Home Science at a renowned government aided postgraduate degree college of Fatehabad. He has two sisters, one is dental surgeon with postgraduation in Microbiology and another one is Gynecologist & Obstetrician. His wife is a doctorate in Bio-nanotechnology and she currently works as Assistant Professor at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. Living a modest life along with his family in his home town, Dr. Nagpal actively devotes himself to his pathology laboratory with unwavering determination.
Career
After completing his studies, Dr. Bhuvan worked hard toward his dreams, and it's his hard work that made his dream true. He started his early career with a renowned diagnostic centre of Hisar as Consultant Oral Pathologist, Clinical Biochemist and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) with ultimate aim of making significant place for oral pathologists in medical diagnostic industry. He has also been appointed as Project Manager for the establishment of various diagnostic centres in major cities of Haryana. His passion for pathology and professional expertise in laboratory medicine brings him on the ladder of a successful career in the field of medical diagnostics. He, being an oral pathologist was always thinking of doing something related to medical diagnostic industry. That is why, this young Entrepreneur had tremendous capabilities to reach his goals; hence he started his own medical laboratory in the Tohana city.
Currently, he is serving the same as Laboratory Director & Senior Consultant Oral Pathologist and Clinical Biochemist. His diagnostic centre is also NABL accredited under the defined scope. Dr. Bhuvan Nagpal is also notified by Govt. of India and approved by NABL as authorized signatory for lab reports. The path to success wasn't easy in this competitive world of diagnostics, but he has established his roots in the diagnostic industry to seek and create massive growth in his business. He is also working towards making MDS qualification in Oral Pathology & Microbiology as one of the authorized signatories for clinical laboratory/pathology reports with the specified investigations. As a result of such efforts, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has been decided that the doctors holding MDS qualification in Oral Pathology can be authorized signatory for lab reports as per Dental Council of India. Even NABL in the year 2018 has considered MDS qualification in Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology as one of the authorized signatories. Future inputs related to widening the domain of oral pathologists will definitely lead to creation of more vacancies for Oral Pathologists in diagnostic field. Overall, he aspires for a professional career in medical diagnostic industry with his skills and constantly adds value to the associated organizations and society at large. He is also working on personal and professional fronts to widen the scope of oral pathology so that this specialization makes the cut as post-graduation and career of choice. He is the founder and first president of Practicing Oral Pathologists and Microbiologists Association (POPMA) which is a national level association working for the welfare of practicing oral pathologists in India. He is also the Director of Academy of Oral Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (AOPLM) which is an academic body of POPMA.

Since his graduation days, Dr. Nagpal has been active member of various medical/pathology/biochemistry/dental associations and has published numerous research articles in various journals and more than a dozen textbooks of national and international repute. He is member of Editorial and Reviewer Board for more than 15 national and international journals. He is also Associate Editor of Journal of Clinical Pediatric Dentistry (JOCPD). Due to his keen interest in pathology and lab medicine, he has participated and delivered keynote lectures in various seminars and conferences in order to create awareness about the future prospects of oral pathology.
