Group headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a Regional HQ in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Compass offers tailored project development consultancy services throughout the MENA region. Compass currently employs a team of over 200 professionals and operates globally from its offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Jeddah, as well as strategic remote site operations throughout the region’s giga-projects such as NEOM and the other PIF entities. Specializing in the leisure, hospitality, and entertainment segments, Compass has delivered more than 500 projects.[5]

History
Compass was founded in 2014 by Luke Somerville, Martin McLean, and William Hitch.[7]
In 2016, Compass stepped into new geographic locations to deliver Muscat Duty Free in Oman.[8]
In 2017, Compass added a Cost Management Division and ventured into its third GCC country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.[9]
In 2018, Compass opened an office in Riyadh and won the Startup of the Year Award and FiInterior Design Award.[10]
In 2019, Compass acquired the UAE operations of Cumming Corporation. The company opened strategic offices in Jeddah and Abu Dhabi and ventured into its fourth GCC country Bahrain.[11]
In July 2021, Compass was awarded The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accreditation.[12]
In December 2021, Compass announced its partnership with Dar Al Arkan, one of Saudi Arabia’s largest real estate developers. The two companies agreed to collaborate in the pre-project and project delivery phases, bringing Compass’ expertise in project management to Dar Al Arkan’s massive portfolio of residential and commercial projects across the region.[13] The partnership grew into the acquisition of an undisclosed majority stake in Compass.[14]
In July 2022, Compass announced a partnership with Mastt, with Compass becoming the first professional user of Mastt’s software in the MENA region. The software provides machine-learning and data-driven insights, to reinforce Compass’ project development capabilities.[15]
Compass is currently delivering multiple major remits, including Sindalah, a unique island resort, offering one-of-a-kind experiences. As NEOM, a new destination on the Red Sea set to be a world leader in the hospitality and lifestyle realm takes shape, Sindalah will be its first physical showcase of this great masterpiece, a jewel in the crown of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
