Zenity is an application security startup founded in 2021, with headquarters located in Tel Aviv, Israel. The company was founded by CEO Ben Kliger and CTO Michael Bargury, both formerly with Microsoft.[1] Zenity operates as a for-profit company and provides a security governance platform for low-code/no-code applications.[2]

Zenity is the first and only security governance platform for No-Code/Low-Code applications, automations and integrations.

No-Code/Low-Code platforms are sweeping the world, allowing pro and citizen developers to create what they need, when they need it and on their own, but without any security governance and tooling.

Zenity empowers IT and Security professionals to gain complete visibility and control[3][4] over their No-Code/Low-Code estate, enabling them to unblock No-Code/Low-Code development and:

(1) Gain visibility and discover No-Code/Low-Code shadow app development with a cross-platform inventory
(2) Get continuous risk assessment to pinpoint vulnerabilities and insecure components
(3) Mitigate risk with automated remediation actions
(4) Govern the No-Code/Low-Code lifecycle and enforce security policies with playbooks.

The Zenity platform addresses various security risks in No-Code/Low-Code applications such as privilege escalation, data leakage, insecure authentication, misconfigurations, dependency injection, oversharing, and application impersonation.[5][6]

Funding

The company raised $5 million in seed funding in November 2021, with the investment round led by Vertex Ventures and UpWest[7][8] and participation from notable executives such as Gerhard Eschelbeck (former CISO of Google) and Tom Fisher (former CIO of SuccessFactors).[9][10] The funding will be utilized for expanding research and development, marketing, customer acquisition, and product activities.[7][11] The company offers a solution for security governance associated with the use of workflow automation platforms, low-code application platforms (LCAP), and robotic process automation platforms (RPA).[12]

Research

Zenity's research team has identified potential security weaknesses in various services such as code by Zapier,[13] Power pages,[14] and storage by Zapier.[15]
