Early Life and Education

Herbich was born to an educated family in Tehran[5]. Her mother, Sedighe Beiki, was a nurse, and her father, Morteza Mirfani, held a bachelor’s degree and was on the board of trustees of MAHAK Charity Hospital for kids with cancer. Herbich is a descendant of the Qajar dynasty on her mother's side, and in 2022, she was awarded the title of "Baroness" by the Duke of York.

Soon after birth, she was subject to an accident, resulting in an eye injury. Her parents were not notified and had accepted her the way she was handed over; one eye was covered with blood, and her eyelid muscles were permanently affected. The nurse visited her mother months later to confess and ask for forgiveness. Yasi was told she would eventually become blind at the age of 6 and was advised to start learning Braille. But her parents refused to accept that and decided to take her to the west to seek treatment. With the final surgery surpassing 16 hours, a series of surgeries resulted in a miraculous recovery, regaining 99% of her vision. She had a difficult childhood as a child of war and was often bullied due to her visible deformity. Still, Herbich grew up to be the captain of the school's chess and football team, was active in self-defense (Hapkido), and was chosen to present the art of women's self-defense during a televised event in front of the then-president Hashemi Rafsanjani. She was prevented from performing at the last minute due to the hard-line views of the organizers when they found out a girl was on the performing team. Disappointed and frustrated, Herbich later left Iran to further her study and become a dentist. She graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine from Southwestern University.

Herbich attended Walden University to take up MBA, but she stopped after 1 semester due to pregnancy complications.

Career

Herbich pursued her modeling career and became known for her modest but stylish outfit taste. After marriage, she reduced her modeling activities to spending more time with her husband and children. As a new mother, she noticed the lack of quality in the market, offering low-quality products at an average price or quality products at inflated rates. Keen to find a solution, she came up with the idea of her business venture, KinderFluff, with the motto Because We Care.[4][11]

She started KinderFluff as an e-commerce business with only 5000 USD. The company is now active in over 27 countries, recruits several people in different countries, and is valued at over 2 million dollars.[5][1] Herbich is a patent holder in several countries.

Herbich was a speaker at the Payoneer Forum in Cebu on May 27, 2017[3][12][13] and at Women in e-Commerce: SEA's International Women's Month Special Edition.[14] She was a Coach at the AmazoNation PH Ecommerce Training Workshop and made guest appearances at OFFCon Cebu in 2019 and Connected Women (SheMeansBusiness) in 2017.

Philanthropy

Herbich donates 20 percent of her income to charity every year. The local government has awarded her for her Covid related donations. At the beginning of the pandemic, she launched a campaign calling on landlords to waive rental fees for their tenants to support those with no work, no pay type employment. She plans to build a charity hospital for kids with heart defects.[15]
