The World Security Network Foundation (WSN) is an American think tank that focuses on global politics, foreign affairs, and conflict resolutions.

Background

WSN was established in 2001 by Dr Hubertus Hoffmann and Pentagon strategist Dr Fritz G.A. Kraemer in New York, USA.

Kraemer was the mentor of Dr Henry Kissinger and General Alexander Haig. Kraemer influenced Defence Secretaries James R. Schlesinger and Donald Rumsfeld.

At the founding meeting of WSN, there were 22 generals and admirals present.

In 2012, WSN had a network of 100 editors, currently of 34 nationalities, reporting from all over the world. The International Advisory Board consists of 71 well-known experts from 21 countries. It includes former ministers, state secretaries, members of parliament, ambassadors, journalists, business leaders, politicians and academics as well as 20 former admirals and generals.

Mission

The World Security Network Foundation (WSN) is an independent, non-profit organization that operates globally. Its main objective is to make the world a safer place through networking and promoting an active foreign policy, which is referred to as World 3.0. The foundation's approach includes a dual strategy of power and diplomacy, which involves reconciliation, creativity, active elites, codes of tolerance, an improved planning process, active implementation, and sufficient defence capabilities combined with a proactive foreign policy.

The World Security Network focuses on three goals: Networking the young foreign and defence affairs elite. Providing fresh analysis, ideas and visions for the world’s most pressing problems. Promoting designs for a safer world in politics, the media and academia.

The World Security Network Foundation (WSN) is researching, developing and promoting universal and practical “Human Codes of Tolerance and Respect” for families, educators, religious leaders, journalists, and politicians – the five affinity groups who have the most influence on promoting tolerance and respect towards other ethnic groups and religions.
