Page title rules - please follow

Welcome to WikiAlpha! Please note that on WikiAlpha, you are required to use page titles that make sense. This is so that the encyclopedia can be organized, searchable, and accurate. Please use the actual name of the person or organization, not an online alias or social media ID, unless the alias is an artist name that is used much more often than the person's birth name. speedy delete

Thanks for wanting to help.

I might seem logical that material you think merits deletion should be moved into the Deleted: namespace. But the best way to signal this is, if the file measures up to Wikialpha:CSD, then mark it with one of the speedy deletion tags that policy describes...

1. Material that is largely written in a non-English language? Put a db-language on top.
2. Spam? db-spam
3. Copyright violation? db-copyright

There are a few others.

The Deleted: namespace is the place where material that has been ported from the wikipedia is supposed to be worked on, in preparation to being placed in article space. There is a button the Save Article. When you click on that button you can specify the name of a wikipedia article, and it is copied into the Deleted: namespace. Before moving it to wikialpha's main article space certain things have to done first.

The Deleted: namespace is not intended to hold material someone thinks should be deleted. Geo Swan (talk) 06:00, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
