Call Me Venus, a.k.a 'Venus' is a french singer and songwriter. She first gained public attention in 2020 with her Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/@MS-ze8bv/featured, singing covers...In 2021, she released her first single titled Strange World. Right after this one, she released her second single called Desire, which is a mix of Dark pop, electro and trap music.

Call Me Venus's studio EP will be available by the end of 2023. She is working on it since 2020, working with different talented artists all around the world.

Early life

Call Me Venus was born in Paris, France, on January 15, ?.

At an early age, Call Me Venus learned the basics of songwriting. Her mom encouraged her to express herself and explore whatever she wanted, including art, dancing, and acting. Call Me Venus also performed at talent shows at her school when she was 15. At age 12, she started playing guitar. She wrote her first "real" song at age 13. The song was about a love story between two young persons.

Career

She debuted her career at age 18 playing music all around the world with talented people. A few years have passed, she was still going to school so she quit music for school. After a Law degree, she decided to play music again. Write song, collaborate with different artist based in France, and now is working on her first EP.

Call Me Venus possesses a soprano vocal range. Some people described her vocals as "ethereal",some others characterized them as "whispery". Music critics say that while Call Me Venus is musically and commercially pop, her brand also electro-saturated can captivate a diverse audience. Her music incorporates pop, dark pop, electropop, experimental pop, indie pop, and alt-pop, electronic music & alternative music.

Call Me Venus sometimes collaborate on songwriting with different underground artists. But she usually work Alone. She writes her songs alone, produces her music, and also performs in live shows. Call Me Venus likes to completely make up things and become a character. She usually write conversational lyrics between two fictive characters or between real persons she really met in her life.

Call Me Venus grew up listening to Amy Winehouse, Lana Del Rey, Rihanna, Placebo and Depeche Mode. She has said that Depeche Mode concerts inspired her to pursue a music career. Dark pop is her favorite genre and biggest inspiration. Other influences include Adele, Nicki Minaj and Billie Eilish .

Advocacy

Call Me Venus has spoken in multiple occasions about women's rights. She is a supporter of body positivity.
