Stavro D’Amore (born 30 October 1982 - Melbourne, Australia) is an Australian Businessman, and the previous CEO of Berndale Capital Securities, one of Australia's 3rd Largest FX brokers and 5th Largest Derivative broker.[1]

Stavro D’Amore (born 30 October 1982 - Melbourne, Australia) is a businessman entrepreneur and the previous CEO of Berndale Capital Securities one of Australia’s Largest Forex dealers and 5th largest Derivatives broker.[1] Stavro is world-renowned for his philanthropic contributions and also being Known as “Bigger than the wolf of wall street” Having operated and managed businesses and companies in all different countries worldwide. Stavro was also a Hedge Fund manager and professional sales trainer, known for his close network with Elite Australians and worldwide.

Background and early years

The son of two immigrants from Italy and Greece, D’Amore was raised in Melbourne Australia and grew up in an upper-class beachside suburb of Melbourne. D’Amore is a leader with first-class communication skills and a long track record of successful management. A high level, with extensive knowledge of current economic, social and regulatory issues, It was estimated Stavro Net wealth was in excess of 14.5 Million dollars that he generated on his own Business dealings from 2014 to 2018 prior to a freezing order that that suspended his company and AFSL Licence of Berndale Capital Securities on 22 November 2018.

D’Amore had been working as a broker for two decades, and received the title from media “Bigger than the Wolf of Wall Street” With over 300 employees globally "When he walked onto a level they would stand up and clap him," D’Amore was never accused of any wrongdoing whilst at FXTG Australia and at Berndale Capital Securities.

The company D’Amore kept also liked to live on the edge. He was friends with notorious underworld figures Mick Gatto and Angelo Venditti. D’Amore bought Berndale from his former Israeli bosses after they quit to set up new businesses in Australia and elsewhere. He ran the business with a co-director.[2]

In 2015, ASIC allowed Forex TG to voluntarily suspend its licence - the same licence used by Berndale - while the group undertook a restructure and changed ownership to D’Amore.

Berndale had hundreds of customers in Australia and was turning over millions of trades selling these high-risk products in what is a legitimate business in Australia.

His departure from Berndale occurred on November 22, 2018, after he was banned by ASIC (Australian Securities Investment Commission) for six years. [3]

The intervention by ASIC and the freezing of Berndale’s accounts shut his business down. At the time of the banning, ASIC said it would allow Mr D'Amore's Berndale company to continue trading for another three weeks so clients' accounts could be finalised. The Berndale bank accounts were finally frozen on December 5 2018, amid fears for the millions of dollars of clients' money it was holding. That is an amount separate to any losses clients may have incurred during forex trades.

Berndale Capital Securities is currently under liquidation by Cor Cordis appointed by the federal court.

Philanthropy

It understood that between a short space D’Amore has provided over 1.63 Million Dollars to many charitable foundations between 2014 to 2018 helping kids with cancer, Asthma Foundation, Cleft lip, including homeless and people with disabilities.[4]

Car Collection

Prior to D’Amore liquidation, its understood during examinations that D’Amore was a car enthusiast and collector with various exotic car’s and European Makes including two McLaren Super Cars, Porches 911 Turbo S, two Ferraris, 3 AMG Mercedes wagons and sedans, HSV GTS, Range Rover Sport and two Porsche SUV.

Career

D’Amore started his career in 2000, after Graduation at CBC St Kilda. His been actively involved in the money markets space and has held many lucrative roles in senior executive positions as well as CEO roles and Director on board, including trading financial markets and risk management.[5]
