Shafiqul Hasan

Shafiqul Hasan FCPS is a serving Lieutenant Colonel of Bangladesh Army. He is the incumbent Assistant Director General of DGMS. Prior to join here, he Served at CMH, Momenshahi Cantonment under 19th Infantry Division.

Career

Hasan graduated from SOMC. Then he successfully obtained his FCPS (Medicine) & 2nd FCPS (Gastroenterology) from BCPS. In his Military career, He served as a specialist in Medicine & Gastroenterology at CMH, Dhaka Cantonment, Bogra Cantonment, Momenshahi Cantonment, United Nations. He achieved Post Fellowship training on from Turkey and Special Endoscopic training from the British Society of Gastroenterology. As a Peacekeeper, Lt. Colonel Shafique served under the UN flag twice. He works in difficult and dangerous environments, risking his lives to protect some of the world’s most vulnerable people. He has successfully completed his deployment under the united nations in 2008-09 and 2018-19. He also served as SSF agent with Prime minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina Wazed while he was Major.

Personal Life

Colonel Hasan is happily married to Dr. Nazmoon Lina Islam. He is father of one daughter and a son. He hailed from a reputed Muslim family in Jamalpur District.
