Template:Personreddit Satomi Hinatsu (Japanese: 日夏 理美), formerly nicknamed as Hazel Cricket and later pixequil, is a Japanese-American voice actress and former producer, animator, and audio engineer of Battle for BFDI, and the showrunner of Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two for the episodes "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?" and "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life". Satomi is also a close friend of Cary Huang.

History at Jacknjellify

Before she joined jacknjellify, she had been a fan of BFDI since Season 2. She joined jacknjellify sometime in July of 2017 and helped make the jacknjellify Patreon, as well as the RedBubble merchandise.  Satomi was heavily involved in the production of the Firey plush. She is one of the authors of Battle for Dream Island: Official Character Guide. She would additionally join the staff in preperation for Battle for BFDI and would design assets for many characters and objects including Stapy, Saw's updated asset, Nickel's updated asset, and Liy.

Satomi would also serve as a writer and storyboarder for the first four episodes, including a scrapped storyboard for what would be BFB 3. Satomi would then take a break from writing the show from "Fortunate Ben" to "Questions Answered" until the production of BFB 9 where she would be promoted to showrunner and manage production of all further episodes of BFB until "The Escape from Four", where Satomi would instead produce the then upcoming fifth season Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two.

Satomi would showrun the first two episodes of TPOT, but would later be laid off[1] from Jacknjellify on July 2, 2022[2] due to "creative differences and efficency problems"[3], and would later elaborate that she was responsible for longer episode waits and her creative input causing "conflicts"[4]. She also indicated that she was no longer a member of Jacknjellify,[5] but would like to continue voicing characters on TPOT if she can.[6]

    • File:IIII characters in IDFB style.png
The II cast in IDFB style
She started the IDFB-style trend in December 5, 2016 by submitting a picture showcasing what the characters from Inanimate Insanity would look like in IDFB style.
    • The "Gridding" folder in BFB's RC .fla files might likely mean that she made a picture of BFDI characters in skin of another character (example: Blocky enhanced with Pen's skin). It is unknown if it will ever be found.
  • As of today, Satomi's current project is Battle for Rice, a show where the prize, which is a grain of rice, duplicates every season.
    • One of the characters in BFR is Nori, Satomi also competed as her in CTC 8, but quitted when the second results due to her user having outside issues. As a result, she was replaced by Peanut Butter Cup.
    • Her current project was originally gonna be Recommended Character Totally Impromptu, featuring characters recommended by viewers in the comments as contestants, but since episode 0 was released, no new videos regarding the project were uploaded, presumably rendering the show scrapped. This is the only video relating to RCTI so far.
