Roman Goncharenko is a Ukrainian filmmaker, born in 1997 in Svetlovodsk, Ukraine. The son of fisherman Alexander Goncharenko and accountant Lyudmila Goncharenko, he grew up as the younger sibling to his sister Jana. Goncharenko's educational journey in the arts commenced in 2013 when he enrolled in the Alexandria School of Culture, focusing on spectacular and theatrical events, immediately after completing the 9th grade at the age of 15. He graduated from this institution with honors in just two years.
Goncharenko's foray into filmmaking began early; he directed his first short film, "License," in 2014 when he was just 16 years old. This early accomplishment marked the beginning of a prolific career in the creative industry.
Goncharenko has since contributed his talents to a variety of projects across the globe, collaborating with international brands and artists such as Samsung, Pfizer, ASOS, Renault, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Dior, Ed Sheeran, Lil Nas X, Coach, HOKA, META, Dead by Daylight, Raymond James, NiziU, Betano, ASAP Rocky, Kraft, Qatar National Bank and others.
In 2021, Goncharenko expanded his repertoire by assisting an Iranian composer with the creation of a teaser for the album "Coup of Cods," showcasing his skills as both a director and a 3D designer. This project gained notable recognition and was submitted for Grammy awards consideration, highlighting Goncharenko's versatile talent and international appeal.
