Roger A. Small
Early Life
Born on September 11, 1970, in Georgetown, Guyana, Roger A. Small completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in History at Towson University. [1][3] He furthered his education by obtaining a Master’s degree in Technology Management Information Systems and Services from what is now known as the University of Maryland Global Campus, previously the University of Maryland University College.[1] This varied educational journey laid the foundation for his successful career in Information Technology, program management, entrepreneurship, and literary pursuits.[2][3]
Career
Small has over 17 years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) field, particularly in program management. His career has seen him in pivotal roles at notable companies like Peraton, Perspecta, Validatek, and NTT DATA Services. [1][3] His significant contributions to large-scale IT projects, particularly at the Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs, Office of Consular Systems and Technology, underscore his leadership and technical expertise.[2][4]
In addition to his IT career, Small has also embraced entrepreneurship. He established Renegades and Reprobates, an innovative clothing brand, and assumed the position of President at Murigen Technology Staffing, further diversifying his professional achievements.[1][2] Apart from his professional activities, Roger A. Small is deeply involved in community and professional groups, as evidenced by his membership in Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc. His dedication to both professional growth and community service is apparent through his participation in numerous initiatives.[3][4]
