Rockbuster is a fictional character from the Transformers series. He is a heroic Maximal introduced in 1999 who turns into a crab.

Beast Wars Neo

A lone-wolf Maximal who won't attach himself to any group, Rockbuster's hard shell provides him an endurance that balances well with his incredible intelligence and courage. His sharp-clawed Claw Buster and Crush Claw are powerful weapons that can break any armor, no matter how hard. He has a warm friendship with his fellow male Maximals.[1]

Rockbuster stands 3 meters tall and weighs 2.4 tons. He has a top running speed of 40 kilometers per hour in beast mode, but 80 kilometers per hour in robot mode. His top flight speed is mach 6.

Animated series

Rockbuster appears in episode #6 of Beast Wars Neo, called "Dinosaur Combiner Magmatron." In this episode Rockbuster is encountered on the planet Flame by Big Convoy.[2]

Rockbuster appears in episode #14, called "Ship's Log."


3H Enterprises

Rockbuster was among the Maximals present when the Autobots Roulette, Shadow Striker, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker and Trailbreaker returned to the newly technorganic Cybertron.

IDW Publishing

Rockbuster appeared among the rioting transformers on Cybertron in issue #4 of Beast Wars: The Ascending.

Rockbuster had a biography printed in the Beast Wars Sourcebook by IDW Publishing.[3]
