Pouya Hashemi (born November 3) is an Entrepreneur, Comedian and Magician. He is also the Founder and CEO spinTouch and SIP Awards.

Education

He studied Marketing at California State University, Fullerton.

Career

He started his career as a Loan Officer for LendingTree where he sold mortgage lending services directly to homeowners who have expressed an interest in refinancing, he did this for over a year.

However, he wasn’t satisfied with the job or the industry so he saw this as an opportunity. His first company, Unique Imports, imported absinthe and tequila but never really grew. He used this experience to launch two other companies, SIP Awards, and spinTouch and these two companies solved problems that he came up against in his first business.[1][2]

Pouya founded spinTouch in August 2009, an interactive application with expertise in development and hardware integration that offers a comprehensive solution for interactive marketing and storytelling needs.[3][4][5]

spinTouch developed a new COVID-19 screening product called the Rapid Screen and it has gained ground really fast. It adheres to thermal sensor state and local screening guidelines, it has a 100% contactless thermometer and temperature scanner to protect employees & customers.

He is also the CEO and founder of SIP Awards, an award show which presents a unique, spirit-judging competition, unaffected by industry bias. This pragmatic and refreshing model of evaluation provides an honest stage for feedback and recognition where top brands showcase their achievements. [6][7]

SIP Award solves the problem of the lack of spirit competitions that put smaller spirit brands on an even playing field with bigger brands. Other competitions filled their judging seats with brand ambassadors and affiliates which put smaller brands at a significant disadvantage. So instead of industry insiders, the SIP Awards is the only spirit competition that solely recruits consumers as judges.[8]
