OneTech
OneTech is a British company that serves as catalyst for inclusion in the startup ecosystem. It provides underserved communities with the network, skills and confidence to start and sustain a business.[1]
History
OneTech launched in 2018 with the goal of doubling the number of female and minority led entrepreneurs raising money for their businesses in London.[2]
OneTech soon grew beyond a project with a start and end date and grew into a movement of change that we see in the London ecosystem.
OneTech launched in 2018 to deliver a range of support programmes, working with underrepresented entrepreneurs from the concept stage through to raising funding. Programmes include Bootstrap School, Founders Weekend, No-Code School and Funding Readiness.[3]
This has led to over 3,000 entrepreneurs accessing OneTech support over the last five years, with over 20 million pounds raised and over 210 jobs created.[4]
OneTech initially started as a project within the startup network Capital Enterprise and has now spun out as a completely autonomous entity led by Emma Obanye.[5]
OneTech started with initial funding support from JPMorgan and has now gained support from Google, The Mayor of London, Leeds City Council and South Yorkshire Combined Authority, LIFT, and many more to provide its support programmes to a vast range of founders across the country.[6]
As of 2023, Emma Obanye serves as the CEO of OneTech.[7]
Awards and recognition
In 2023, OneTech won the Social Impact in Enterprise Award at the National Enterprise Awards.[8]
