Nurul Islam (নূরুল ইসলাম) is a well-known teacher in Bangladesh. Since April 24, 2004, he has been working as an Assistant Teacher (Computer) at 'Eidgah Adarsha Shiksha Niketon' under Eidgaon upazila of Cox's Bazar district. He enjoyed only three days leave from his educational institution till the month of October 2023. This is rare in the context of the country. Educational reports on this teacher, who is devoted to students, are aired on Bangladesh Television's popular magazine program Ittyadi. In that episode of Ittyadi recorded at Shalban Buddha Vihar in Comilla in May 2009, prominent presenter Hanif Sanket gifted him two computers. Several proactive reports on him were published in the country's leading national daily Prothom Alo and others. He was honoured by Prothom Alo's Cox's Bazar Bandhu Sabha. Dedicated teacher Nurul Islam achieved IPDC-Prothom Alo Priyo Shikkok Sammanona 2022.

Early Life

Nurul Islam was born on 16 October 1982 in Islamabad Union under Eidgaon Upazila of Cox's Bazar District. His father's name is Kabir Ahmed, mother's name is Shamaruk Begum. Nurul Islam is the youngest among 7 siblings. He is the only son of his parents. He completed his primary education at Yousoferkhil Government Primary School. He passed SSC from Eidgah Model High School in 1997 with first division from science group. He passed HSC from Cox's Bazar Government College with first division in 1999 and BSc from the same college with second division in 2001. In 2002, he got A+ in computer training from Youth Development Department under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Bangladesh. In 2009, he received his Bachelor of Education degree with first class from Bangladesh Open University.

Career:

On April 24, 2004, he joined the post of Assistant Teacher (Computer) in Eidgah Adarsha Shiksha Niketon. Since then he has been trying his best with creativity, dedication and honesty to play a role in building up an educated, well-developed and enriched nation by proper teaching. In his professional life, he received trainings in various important subjects including mathematics, English, information technology, National Curriculum Framework, creative questioning and using it for the welfare of students. He is working as a Teacher Trainer in Information Technology and Dissemination of National Curriculum.

Training Received:

Nurul Islam Received professional training in Mathematics and English from BRAC (Pace), Computer Applications for Secondary Level Teachers and Satellite Training Course from NAEM, IT Essential for Teachers and Master Trainer Course from Bangladesh Computer Council. He is well trained in Digital Content Development from Teachers Training College Chittagong. From NCTB he received Training on National Education Policy 2010, Dissemination of National Curriculum 2012, and National Curriculum Framework 2021. He received Performance Based Management (PBM) Training by Ministry of Education (MoE).
