Early Life & Education
Growing up in Nalchia, Matin developed a profound appreciation for the values of hard work, community, and compassion.He started his primary education as a brilliant student from Nalchia Primary School & Secondary Education from Palasia Rani Dinmoni High School. His student politics started from there. He pursued higher education with first division at Ibrahim Khan Government College & University, where he graduated with his degree of BSC in Mathematics. During his time at university, he actively engaged in Bangladesh Student League & after then Bangladesh Awami League , which laid the foundation for his future commitment to public service.
Entry into Politics
After completing his education, Matin Sarkar decided to channel his passion for public service into politics. He started his political journey in Bangladesh Student League by volunteering for local campaigns and causes, demonstrating his dedication to the betterment of the community. His genuine concern for the welfare of the people and his ability to connect with residents from diverse backgrounds soon garnered support and recognition within the local political landscape.
He is President of Bangladesh Awami League, Nikrail Union branch elected 6 times since 1996 to present. Since 2004, he has served 6 times as the President of Tangail District truck workers Union Nikrail Branch.In 2016, Bangladesh Awami League gave him "Nauka Pratike" & he was elected as the successful chairman of Nikrail Union at Tangail district and received four times awords for social service. He is also a member of Tangail branch of Bangladesh Awami League.
Career
He was as the founding head teacher of the Bangabandhu Government Primary School, Bhuapur, Tangail & the president of palsia Rani Dinmoni High School, Nikrail from 2009 to 2012 and also president of Nikrail Begum Momtaz Fakir High School from 2012 to 2014 and 2019 to present. He was the president of Bangabandhu Setu Purbo Punorbason Government Primary School from 05.11.2007 to 28.12. 2016.He has been serving as the president of Nalchia Government Primary School since 29.12.2016 till now.
He is the most popular leader. He performed the Holy Hajj in 2022.
