Midnite is an online betting platform for sports and e-sports based in the United Kingdom. Midnite is known to provide legal means for the gamers and the bettors to earn money with their gaming performances and funds. It is available in the United Kingdom, Brazil, and Mexico. It was founded in 2019 by Nicholas Wright and Daniel Qu.[1][2]

Overview

The platform was founded by two gaming product consultants, Nicholas Wright and Daniel Qu, in 2019. They launched Midnite with a collaboration of a UK betting operator Sky Bet. The duo has previously created dribble, a daily fantasy football platform in 2016. Both the founders migrated to the United Kingdom from the United States to interconnect licensed gambling for e-sports platforms six years before they had launched Midnite. Midnite secured $2.5 million in funding for e-sports ventures in 2020.[3][4]

In February 2022, Midnite raised $16 million[5][6] for their series A funding round led by The Raine Group,[7] which is a global merchant bank converging on technology, media, and telecommunications.[8][9][10]

The platform focuses on the gaming and betting productivity of Generation Z. It connects them with digital means of media and technology. Midnite connects the gaming community on a betting portal and creates challenges within various games. The gamers, who are using the Midnite portal, earn cash reward points when they have completed those challenges.
