Michael Laboy
Michael Jason LaBoy (born March 12, 1986) is an American entrepreneur,[1] travel enthusiast, and social media influencer.[2] He is the Founder of The Smoking Pie.

Early life and Education
LaBoy was born as Michael J LaBoy to Chery LaBoy, who raised him as a single mother along with three other children.[1]
He studied at Long Island City High School till 2004, where he was declared one of the best varsity basketball players. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from St. John’s University, NY, in 2010.[1][3]
Career
After graduating, LaBoy worked for seven years and utilized his savings to become a lounge owner from being a yellow taxi cab driver in NYC. This was followed by a series of establishments and launches of nightclubs and restaurants.[1][3][4][5][6]
However, The Covid-19 pandemic impacted his business greatly, making it difficult for LaBoy to continue operating his clubs in the same city. In 2020, LaBoy opened The Smoking Pie, NYC’s ever-first adult-only Pizzeria, which serves pizzas, pies, drinks, hookahs, and bottle service and offers a dancing space.[1][3][4]
The club is visited by A-List celebs, including Floyd Mayweather, 2 Chainz, Angela Simmons, Trey songs, Tory Lanez, Rowdy Rebel, Jerome Baker, DJ Drewski, MadeInPhilly, Bobby Lytes, J Prince Jr, and Trina.[6] It is also frequented by NBA players such as Kevin Durant, Lou Williams, JR Smith, Tim Hardaway Jr, Shane Larkin, Rappers Vado, Styles P, Joe Budden Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Jada Kiss, Capone n Noreaga, Mobb Deep, Memphis Bleek, Safaree, Dave East, DJ Shelf, DJ Snuff, DJ Sussone, Maria Lynn, Don Q, Uncle Murda, Young M.A, Cardi B, Tony Yayo, Troy Ave, Manolo Rose, Casanova Cassidy, Vado, Red Café & JR Writer, True Life, Maino Jaquae Fred Da Godson, Phaser, and Kid the Wiz. He has also opened some frequented by famous reality TV stars such as Erica Mena.[1]
In 2020, LaBoy debuted in the music industry.[7][8] Prior to making his music, he put together events for multiple artists in his clubs and assisted other artists with single premieres and album release parties.[9]

Controversy
LaBoy and his wife were alleged with battery charges after being caught on cellphone video getting into a fight with a grandmother and her grandson near a school outside Dr. Rolando Espinosa K-8 Center. The fight allegedly stemmed from weeks of bullying and a threat from the student that he would rape the victim’s 12-year-old sister. The LaBoys told police the victim had been bullying their son since he started at the school and that he punched their son in the mouth. Natalie LaBoy faced a charge of aggravated battery on a person 65 years or older, and LaBoy faced charges of aggravated battery and misdemeanor battery.[11][12][13]
Personal life
LaBoy is married to Natalie LaBoy and has two children. He currently resides in Miami, FL.[1]
He has traveled to six countries, including the UK, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, France, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, Macedonia, Bahamas, Jamaica, Turks, Caicos, Dubai, Moscow, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.[1][3][4]
