Megha Kapoor (born October 28, 1986) is an Indian marketing professional, e-commerce growth hacker, start-up advisor, and digital transformation leader based in Dubai, UAE.[1] She is the co-founder and chief growth marketing officer of the Dubai-based consulting firm ODLA, along with her partners Paul Kenny and David Sharkey. Kapoor is credited for her innovative marketing strategies, programs, and campaigns for global brands across the Middle East, Asia, North Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. Kapoor is the growth marketing officer at the Meta Ads programmatic network for e-commerce performance. She is also a founding member of PLAYBOOK, a digital platform for women.[2]

Companies that Kapoor worked for included Publicis Groupe, Isobar, Middle East Communications Network, The Entertainer FZ LLC, Careem, Danube, and Unilever. According to Women Entrepreneur India Magazine, Kapoor was among the Top 10 Indian Women Leaders in the UAE (2022) and the World’s 40 Under 40 Emerging Leaders to Follow (2023) by World’s Leaders Magazine.[3]

Early Life and Education

Kapoor was born on October 28, 1986, and raised in India. She graduated from Delhi College of Arts and Commerce in 2007 and obtained an MBA in marketing from the International Management Institute, New Delhi, in 2009.[4]

Career

Kapoor is a digital transformation and performance marketing expert, guiding e-commerce businesses to reach their full potential through data-driven strategies and tools such as Google DV360, Braze, Oracle Marketing Cloud, and more. She is skilled at personalized marketing, conversion optimization, analytics monitoring, market research, PR, and business relationship development.[5]

After graduation, Kapoor started her career as a search engine marketing specialist at Publicis Groupe, overseeing online marketing projects for clients such as Nestle India, Hindware, and Hero Honda. She executed online campaigns, optimized Google PPC campaigns, oversaw social media marketing, including Facebook page setup and management, and identified new online marketing opportunities in collaboration with sales and client servicing teams.

In 2010, Kapoor joined Isobar as a senior digital business manager, spearheading a comprehensive 360-degree digital marketing approach and engaging with publishers to stay updated on the latest advertising trends and innovations.

In 2013, Kapoor moved to Dubai, joining the Middle East Communications Network as a digital media supervisor. At MCN, she specialized in integrated media planning, allocating budgets across digital, print, OOH, cinema, and radio, with notable success in leading digital strategies for major launches like Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi.

In the subsequent years, Kapoor built her career at some of the region’s biggest online lifestyle apps and transportation networks. In 2015, Kapoor joined The Entertainer FZ LLC as a digital media manager. She later transitioned to serve as Digital Marketing and Mobile CRM Marketing Manager at Careem, where she was instrumental in devising and executing marketing strategies to engage customers across platforms and external ecosystems.

In 2017, Kapoor joined AYM Commerce, focusing on spearheading marketing initiatives for Danube Online and contributing to solidifying Danube Online's stature as the foremost e-commerce grocery platform in the region.

In 2020, Kapoor joined Unilever as the E-commerce Performance Marketing Associate Director for the North Africa and Middle East region. She oversaw the e-commerce vision and strategy, reviewing on-platform and off-platform performance across various channels and retailers. She collaborated with stakeholders to define a performance marketing content framework, ensuring a consumer-centric approach, and introduced innovations for an enhanced Unilever digital e-commerce experience.

In 2021, Kapoor, alongside partners Paul Kenny and David Sharkey, co-founded ODLA, a technology-agnostic digital transformation company catering to businesses of all sizes across various industries, from startups to multinational corporations. Kapoor is the Chief Growth Marketing Officer at ODLA, overseeing and managing all marketing and branding activities for the company and its clients to accelerate business growth. Additionally, Kapoor is a founding member of PLAYBOOK, the largest professional learning network for women in the MENA region. The platform offers various online courses, community engagement, and mentorship programs for women. Kapoor is the growth marketing officer at the Meta Ads programmatic network for e-commerce performance, a position she assumed in 2021.[6]
