May Liu, aka HRH May Liu (born May 17), is a Dallas, TX-based producer, screenwriter, artist, author, actress, and financial advisor. She is the founder of the Miss Economic World Pageant and President of Superstar Art Foundation.[1] She was a jury member of the Film Finance Award in Cannes 2012, a jury member of Miss United in China 2016, and vice-chair of the 2018 US-China International Film Festival in Texas.[2] May Liu hosts the May We Talk Show at Superstar TV888, interviewing artists and business owners to promote talent and nonprofits.[3] She was a license holder at an investment bank and has been doing IPO and private equity deals for ten years. She is also a certified human rights consultant.

Early life and education

May Liu was born in China. She is the 73rd descendant of the Royal Family Liu from the Han Dynasty.[4] She holds a master’s degree in finance from Baruch College, CUNY.

Career

May Liu is an Imperial Art & Humanity Consul and certified Human Rights Consultant by the US Diplomacy & Human Rights Institute. She founded Superstar Art Foundation, a 501-c-3 nonprofit organization in Texas, USA, in 2019. The organization’s mission is to help artists, and to do so, it organized the world's first online pageant in 2020– Miss Economic World, to select an ambassador from woman artists worldwide for nonprofits and promote the world economy.[5] As the founder of the Superstar Art Foundation, May Liu has devoted herself to empowering aspiring artists with opportunities needed to realize their dreams.

May Liu has been doing investment banking for years. She works with famous family offices and top fashion designers and has created a fashion brand, Superstar Collections Design.[6]

In 2016, she attended Mandella’s family charity gala in Monaco and received a signature from Nabdas Mandela.

In 2022, hosted a gala in New York and issued a Superstar Award to Ms Dewi Sukarno.

In Nov 2023, she announced the development plan of the Royal Han Palace Museum in Dallas, the founding of the world's first Royal Han Family House in the USA.[7]

May Liu provides advisory services and training for industries including Art, culture, NFT, film financing; humanity, heritage management, nonprofit; and project financing.

Films

May Liu is an award-winning writer and producer of seven movies. She was invited as a jury member of US China film festivals in Houston and a VIP guest at the Cannes Film Festival.[9]

Her film Shadow Day was selected by the Berlin Film Festival as a Top 7 must-see film in 2014. She won the Best Screenplay Award for the film Blooming Sisters at US China Film Festival in Houston in 2018. May Liu has been a producer in movies. She had experience working with the movie The Revenant and Escape Plan 2. In 2014, Fake Fiction was released in China, and Inside Out was released in 2016. May Liu was the screenwriter for Aegean Love.[10] In 2023, Her directing and casting movie Lost in 24 has won ten awards during the International Film Festival in NewYork, Hollywood, London, Milan, Tokyo, etc, and was being promoted during Cannes Film Festival.[11]

Art and philanthropy

May Liu started painting in 2011. She is skilled in pencil sketch, watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting. With color mixing and detailed capture, she specializes in human figures and animal portraits. She has created her own style to put humanity and Asian elements in her artworks.[12]

May Liu’s passion for artistic expression has rendered into stunning oil paintings and an inspiring collection of NFT artwork, including masterpieces of luminaries like Da Vinci and contemporary icons like Elon Musk.[13]

In January 2022, her NFT oil painting Roaring Tiger 2022 was minted to be the first NFT Art coin that launched on the New York Times Square LED screen.[14]

In May 2022, she donated her oil painting "F1 Monaco" in Monaco for philanthropic support to Ukraine. She led Miss Economic World ambassadors to raise funds for supporting Ukraine families during the Cannes Film Festival.

In Dec 2022, she donated her oil painting "Portrait of HRH Prince Emmanuel of Savoy" in New York for philanthropic support to the Savoy Foundation in the event of helping children.[15]

On November 19, 2023, May Liu initiated the humanitarian action, the voice of "One Earth One Family" on behalf of Superstar Art Foundation, for the first time, taking Miss Economic World to Dallas' Reunion Tower, to showcase the fashion beauty for culture and heritage and deliver the voice of humanity "One earth one family" message to the world. This event is published on 400+ media websites throughout the USA, and become an eyeball-catching affair in Dallas.

May Liu took the initiative to donate PPE to Wuhan city during the COVID-19 pandemic. She contributed her artwork for fundraising causes in Monaco F1 and Ukraine and created paintings for the Savoy Foundation supporting children. With a vision for a better world, May Liu has become an ambassador of compassion who uses her influence and resources to uplift the lives of those in need.[16]

Books

The book Royal Family Liu's History: The Decryption of Han was written and edited by May Liu. It targets anyone interested in Chinese culture and history, diving deep into the history of the Liu family, one of the most influential royal families in Chinese history, and providing a comprehensive look at the culture of the Han people.[17]

Her book, May Liu Artwork Collection, demonstrates her artwork collection, including 20 pieces of her recreation of world-famous paintings and her own oil paintings. It records her career, media interviews, background and mission of Superstar Art Foundation and Miss Economic World, and her portrait photos.[18]
