Mansoor Ahsan, P.E
Mansoor Ahsan, P.E. is an American-based Civil and Structural Engineer specializing in Bridge, Railroad and Roadway design and construction. He is well known in the transportation industry for his innovative structural design and construction of steel and concrete bridges.[1]
Education
Mansoor holds a Master's degree in Structural Engineering from Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois.
Career
During his career, Mansoor has designed high profile transportation projects such as the DART orange line, the IH-635/LBJ Managed Lanes in Dallas, TX., SH 130 in Austin and the DFW connector in Fort Worth, TX.[2] He is the engineer on record for the design of the 16' tall through-plate girder bridge for BNSF and UPRR in Oklahoma City, OK.[3]
Mansoor has held executive positions at ENR Top 100 Engineering Firms. [4] In 2002, he was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Bridgefarmer & Associates, Inc.[5]
Mansoor is a regular speaker at national and international bridge engineering conferences and ASCE meetings.[6][7][8] He was the 2019 commencement speaker at University of Texas Arlington.[9] He is a contributing writer for Bridge Design & Engineering, ASCE Journal of Bridge Engineering, ASCE Journal of Civil Engineering and has designed curricula for structural engineering schools. He serves on several boards, including Board of Directors for University of Texas at Arlington.[10]
