Luke Cosgrove
Luke Cosgrove (born 24 April 1994) is an Australian actor. He has acted in many films and television series such as The Mist (2017), The Rookie (2022), Nyad (2023) and many others.[1]

Biography
Cosgrove was born on 24 April 1994 in Peregian Beach, Queensland, Australia,[2] and raised on the Sunshine Coast.[3]
Cosgrove went to St. Teresa's Catholic College in Noosaville.[1] When he was a teenager, he played Australian Rules Football.[1] However, he later decided to focus on theater instead.[1]
When he was in his late teens, he moved to Brisbane, the capital and biggest city of Queensland.[3][4]
Career
Cosgrove began acting when he was 11 years old.[3] His first acting experience was in a student short film about a school janitor who was a killer.[2]
In 2010, he acted in a short film called Cyber Sin with Australian actor John Jarrett.[1] Then, in 2013, he had a small role as a Door Man in the short film The Heist.[1] In 2015, Cosgrove received a certificate of highest achievement at the 5th Annual Australian Screen Industry Network Awards for his work in the short film Disc of Love.[1]
In 2017, he made his major television debut in an American science fiction-horror thriller series called The Mist, where he played the character Jay Heisel, a high school quarterback accused of sexual assault. He appeared alongside actors Alyssa Sutherland, Morgan Spector, Frances Conroy, and Danica Curcic.[5][6][7][8][9]
In 2022, Cosgrove appeared in the detective television series The Rookie on ABC. He played the character Rowan Clausen, appearing alongside actors Richard T. Jones, Alyssa Diaz, and Nathan Fillion.[10] Cosgrove also played the role of Luke Tipple in the biographical sports drama Nyad, alongside Annette Bening, Jodie Foster, and Rhys Ifans.[11] The film, directed by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, premiered on Netflix in November 2023.[12]
