Lewis Schiff

Lewis Schiff (born October 1, 1969) is an American author, educator, speaker, and entrepreneur. An expert in behavioral entrepreneurship, a subset of behavioral economics, and the high-net worth in America, he developed advanced research and proprietary tools for entrepreneurs and delivers training to successful business owners, college students, sales-driven cultures, and corporations. His research studies companies in capital markets, luxury markets, real estate and policy-making. His proprietary research identifies how business leaders excel in building a successful career, risk-taking, and wealth accumulation. Schiff is the Chairman of Birthing of Giants Board of Experts and the Executive Director of Moonshots & Moneymakers: The Oxford Innovation Conference for American Entrepreneurs.

Early life and education

Schiff grew up in New York City and attended public schools there, graduating from The Bronx High School of Science in New York and CUNY Hunter College. Between his freshman and sophomore years of high school, he got a job at a local Wall Street messenger company and was introduced to the benefits of working while learning. Ever since his education has been on the job.

Career

In the early 90s, Schiff was the Executive Producer of Worth Magazine, involved in the initial stages of content marketing as the magazine transitioned from a personal finance magazine into a web property.

Schiff served as the Senior Managing Principal for Advanced Planning Group, which he founded in 2007. He led a team of private wealth experts who develop custom financial solutions for high-net-worth clients globally. Prior to founding Advanced Planning Group, he was a founder of CEG Worldwide, a New York and Silicon Valley-based performance-coaching firm serving the high-end financial advisor. Schiff has also developed custom education programs for high-profile financial firms such as TheStreet.com, ThomsonReuters, Charles Schwab, Fidelity, E-Trade, and Intuit. He was the founding editor of Worth Online, the electronic version of Worth magazine, launched in 1996.

In 2010, Schiff founded Inc. Magazine's Business Owners Council, a membership organization for top entrepreneurs and owners of closely held family businesses.

In 2016, he launched Birthing of Giants, a fellowship program held three times a year at Rider University’s Norm Brodsky College of Business, Princeton campus.

Schiff runs Moonshots & Moneymakers: The Oxford Innovation Conference for American Entrepreneurs which he launched in 2022.

Over the past two decades, he built and sold two media businesses to publicly traded companies, The Armchair Millionaire (sold to iVillage) and MainStreet.com (sold to TheStreet.com).
