Kumar Nishant
Kumar Nishant (born January 20, 1987) is an Indian singer, lyricist, actor, poet, author, musician, voice-over artist, and former radio jockey. He is the programming head at Red FM, Jamshedpur.
Kumar Nishant is known for his hit singles such as Sarhul Dhun, Colour WIth Care, Dhokha, Tere Bina, Tu Hi Sach, Maa Tujhse Kahna Hai, Bechara Dil, Tune Kiya Jo O Bewaffa and Patthar Dil. He is often regarded as the most influential up-and-coming music artist in the Indian music industry. His music can be found on all major music streaming platforms, such as Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Music, Gaana and YouTube.

Early Life and Education
Kumar Nishant was born and raised in Patratu, Jharkhand, the son of Satyendra Nath Sahar and Devmurat Devi. He completed his elementary and high school in Patratu. He obtained his bachelor's degree in 2004 from Vinoba Bhave University. Furthering his education in radio, television, and digital communication, he attended the International School of Media & Entertainment Studies.
Kumar Nishant's passion for music began in childhood, and he studied music simultaneously with his studies for eleven years. He was inspired by renowned vocalists such as Mohammad Rafi, Kishore Da, and R. D. Burman, to whom he enjoyed listening. Kumar Nishant began practicing and studying music full-time after graduation, paving the groundwork for his eventual musical career.
Career
In 2007, Kumar Nishant began his career as a radio jockey at B.A.G. Films' Radio Dhamaal. As a result, he began working for several radio and television stations as a creative director, anchor, and R.J., including 94.3 My FM, Radio Dhoom, Desh Live News Channel, and Naxatra News. He is currently the head of programming at Red FM, Jamshedpur, a position he assumed in 2015.
Kumar Nishant started his career as a singer with his debut Hindi singles "Tere Bina" & "Tu Hi Sach," launched by White Hill Music. Soon after the release, Kumar Nishant rose to prominence and gained recognition in the industry. In 2019, he released another single, "Dhokha," a Punjabi video song through which he told his story and featured in the lead role. In 2020, amid the epidemic, Kumar Nishant's Mother's Day song "Maa Tujhse Kahna Hai" was released, with its passionate and poignant lyrics touching the hearts of millions.
In 2022, Kumar Nishant released "Sarhul Dhun," a portrayal of Jharkhand's culture. The song represents the Sarhul festival, Jharkhand's largest tribal celebration. The song went viral and accumulated millions of views and listeners in Jharkhand and India. Following this, Kumar Nishant collaborated with the Jharkhand police to release the song "Colour With Care." The song was published on Holi by Dr. M Tamilvanan, I.P.S. of the Jharkhand Police Department.
In December 2022, Kumar Nishant also released a punjabi song “Patthar Dil”. The song received positive acclaim from music critics and was also popular among his fans.
Kumar Nishant is a national voice artist who has recorded over 10,000 radio sweepers, bumpers, promotions, and advertisements. He has authored a book titled "Tere Bina," based on love and separation, and is a collection of Shayris, Poems, and Songs.
Kumar Nishant is renowned for the numerous poetry, songs, and shayaris he has composed, authored, and narrated. Young people generally admire his art. On his YouTube channel, he regularly uploads his poetry and shayari collection in his voice and has amassed over 5.35K subscribers.
