Kevin Guttman

Kevin A. Guttman is an American author, speaker, real estate investor, philanthropist, retirement mortgage and insurance broker focusing on helping seniors with cash flow in retirement. He specializes in guaranteed, tax-free, safe money through mortgage and insurance products, the objective being to align people’s goals and dreams with their finances.

Starting in the insurance industry in 1999 and the mortgage industry in 2004, Guttman has helped clients and their families build wealth by using leverage and providing honest counsel and exceptional service. He works with top-rated companies, and has all insurance products and mortgage programs, including Jumbo loans, and is licensed in 16 states.

Early life and education

Guttman was born into a family of realtors and investors, and grew up in Orange County, CA. His father taught him about real estate from a young age. He owned his first home at age 21.

He holds master’s degrees in Communications, Management, and Biblical Studies, a B.S. in Communications, and an A.S. in Business.

Career

Retirement mortgage and insurance broker

Guttman started his career working for a nonprofit, where he raised millions of dollars to provide access to clean water, medical clinics, schools, and small business loans to people living in poverty. Currently, he is a senior mortgage broker who provides his services with the flexibility of a banker and the underwriting advantages of a direct lender. Most of his business is from past clients and by referral. Guttman is active in his Colorado Springs community and passionate about assisting Veterans.

After working in the nonprofit sector for 12 years, he and his wife started flipping houses. This led him into the mortgage business in 2004. Guttman works by the Golden Rule and has a client-first mindset. He enjoys educating seniors, their children, and advisors on how a reverse mortgage can change their lives. Guttman focuses on helping senior homeowners understand their choices when financing their homes. He has designed systems to help them obtain a smooth, efficient, and convenient home loan experience. A reverse mortgage can allow them to convert a portion of their home equity into tax-free funds, giving them greater financial flexibility and certainty for the future.

A reverse mortgage helps seniors remain at home, retain their title as an owner, and maintain their independence while eliminating their monthly PI mortgage payment and unlocking access to a portion of their home equity. He is a Sr. Mortgage Broker assisting people in building wealth through real estate.

With a desire to give back, Guttman has a special program for Veterans, Police Officers, Fire Fighters, Nurses, Teachers, Truck Drivers, and Ministers where they can get a credit for the cost of the appraisal, and at closing, money is donated to a charity supporting their industry.

As a mortgage broker, his clients save $9,407 on average in upfront and interest costs. For over two decades, he has worked as a Retirement Income Specialist at Advanced Insurance Concepts. He helps people have certainty as they approach or are in retirement with guaranteed income for life.

Additional services he provides to his clients include guiding people to be debt-free in 1/3 to 1/2 the time without any change in lifestyle or spending. Helping them protect their privacy, assets and avoid probate, leaving more to their heirs and charity. As a Registered Social Security Analyst (RSSA), he helps people optimize their social security benefits. Volunteer work

Guttman is a past Vice-President and board member for CIVA Charter School, Rotary International member and four-time Paul Harris Fellow, former member and director at Business Networking International. He was the board chairman of European Christian Mission International from 2015-2020. Guttman was a youth leader and led weekly Bible studies in college. He started a networking group for businesses that serve seniors. Guttman has been a volunteer high school instructor for Junior Achievement.

Ministry

For 12 years, Guttman has traveled the world encouraging the Church to partner to share the Gospel. He became a Christian at age 17, went on his first mission trip at 22, and was ordained at 29. He led three mission trips during college. After his bachelor's, Guttman worked with a Christian mission to raise funds for people in poor, underserved parts of the world. The end goal was to start new churches led by local leaders. Guttman has led a weekly men’s group since 2007.
