J.J Singh (Jawahar Jyoti Singh) (born May 29, 1967), is an Indian entrepreneur, social activist and philanthropist based in Poland.[1] He is currently the CEO of Weco Travel, a Polish corporate travel management company.[2]

Early life and education

J.J Singh was born in 1967 in New Delhi, India. He did his schooling from Bal Bharti public School, New delhi and completed B.A correspondence from Delhi University. J.J Singh also has done post graduation, MA correspondence from Delhi University.[3]

Career

J.J singh has been acquainted with travel trade since 1986 working in agencies and airlines and holds MBA degree from LBS/HEC. During the Covid-19 pandemic period (2020-2021), he finished courses on AI/Block chain/Fintech and sustainability from Oxford Business School and Harvard Business School online.[3]

J.J Singh is a founding member and the President of Indo Polish Chamber of Commerce & Industry formed in 2006.[1] As a chief administrative officer he takes care of the first Sikh Temple in Poland and the Eastern Europe, formed in 2004.[4] He is also the president of IATA agents association in Poland and the vice president of travel and MICE platform TU gether in Poland.[1]

Philantrophy

J.J Singh has been involved in community service since 1994 when he started the Indian Association of Poland through which he helped many distressed and stranded Indian nationals.[5] He is actively involved with Indian Embassy in Poland and also supports Indian community in Poland till date.[6] He has advised and formed the dialogue between travel industry and Government of Poland during Covid-19 Pandemic crisis.[7]

Awards and honors

On January 19, 2015, J.J Singh was awarded a medal of honour by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, H.E. Janusz Piechocinski for the services he rendered in promotion of Polish Economy.[8]
