Physical Investigation

For investigation of the physical world the Scientific Method is most commonly used.

Historical Investigation

For investigation of the history of mankind the Historic Method is most commonly used.

Logical Investigation

For investigation of the logical soundness of arguments the Socratic Method is often used.
