Global IT Communications, Inc. is an American privately held Managed Services Provider for IT and Cloud services. Global IT Communications, Inc. owns and controls the trademark Global IT and the domain name globalit.com. Global IT provides various services, including managed technical and engineering, managed cloud, managed security, managed internet access, and 3rd party vendor and telecom vendor consulting with a 24/7 Los Angeles-based NOC. Its primary data center is equipped with 100Gbps+ network availability and has diverse priority routing, BGP, redundant enterprise virtual environments, and storage array infrastructures. The company also focuses on business computing, helpdesk, desktop support, and project management.[1][2][3][4]

Overview

Global IT Communications, Inc. was founded by Anthony Williams Rare in April 2004.[5][6][7][8] Rare (Pronounced Rar-rae) started his career in April 2000 as an engineer, infrastructure, and cloud consultant with Concentric and Nextlink, which merged to become XO Communications, Inc. Rare (Pronounced Ra-rae) is New Zealand born, a descendant of the Ngāti Maru tribe. Rare holds a master’s degree in leadership within Complex organizations with an emphasis on Data Centers, Cloud along with various certifications; his most recent is with Hi-Trust as a CCSFP (Certified Cyber Security Framework Practitioner), and he has been an enterprise technology infrastructure and cloud consultant in Los Angeles since April 2000. Rare states that he built the company back to the front, starting with his first Co-location, Cloud, in 2004, developing Xen Virtualization products for resale to the Telecom and Wholesale market. This was back when very few people understood what trade (Cloud) he was doing.

Global IT was initially formed as a Wholesale and Enterprise Cloud service provider. In 2009, Global IT purchased one of its Wholesale clients, Gus Networks America, LLC, a once-leading Los Angeles ISP. Along with the purchase included the GUS DIA Internet Access, ISP, Web, and email hosting customer base, and specific technology assets, encouraging Global IT into the SMB market.

Global IT is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, and its data center locations are selected based on network performance, uptime, and responsiveness. Managed IT (MSP) is one of Global IT’s core business services. It provides enterprise network engineering, compliance, project management, and consulting services that enable companies to manage their network infrastructures with the help of technical teams, which enables their clients to implement new technologies, align their infrastructure with their respective business goals, increase efficiency, and reduce the overhead of time, money, and resources necessary to maintain, change, and grow company IT infrastructures. Managed Cloud

Providing cloud products, services, and consulting since 2000 places the founder Anthony Rare at the forefront of Cloud computing, implementing cloud data centers, and managing cloud environments successfully for hundreds of enterprise clients.
