Giulio Bertelli (Milan, 5 May 1990) is an Italian sailor, with experience in the America's Cup and The Ocean race. He studied architecture in London at the Architectural Association School of Architecture.

Biography

In 2013 he participated in the "34th America's Cup" in the Luna Rossa technical team and again in the "36th America's Cup" in Auckland, as a sailor and in the mechatronics department for the development of the on-board interfaces of the AC75 HMI (human machine-interface).[1]

Participates in ocean sailing competitions with several international teams including "Team AkzoNobel" for "The Ocean Race Europe" in 2021 and records with "Team Maserati" of skipper Giovanni Soldini, on the Plymouth-La Rochelle route, crewed by Maserati Multi 70, in 12 hours , 15 minutes and 21 seconds.[2]

In August 2022 it was announced that he will participate in The Ocean Race competition to sail around the world with Team Biotherm Racing.[3]

On 25 July 2023 the President of CONI Giovanni Malagò awarded him the Gold Medal for his Athletic Achievement.[4]
