In 2020, XDEFI Wallet was founded by Emile Dubié and David Phan in London, England, UK.[3] XDEFI Wallet operated in a closed beta version of XDEFI Wallet until the 4th quarter of 2021, when it was released to the public more widely.
XDEFI Wallet was audited by Kudelski Security in 2021.[4]
As of mid-2022, XDEFI Wallet has raised a total of about $26 million USD.[5][6][7][8]

The XDEFI Wallet team has stated that their vision is to build the premier Web3 crypto gateway.

XDEFI Wallet is a Google Chrome browser extension.[14][15][16] The wallet is non-custodial, meaning that the end-user is responsible for securing their own seed phrase.[17]
