Dr. Om Prakash Prasad
Dr.Om Prakash Prasad (born on 12th July, 1973) is a well known Neurologist and a humanitarian by heart. He has been tirelessly serving the society for the past 15 years in his field. He was born in Dalmia Nagar (Bihar).He has relentlessly put his much coveted abilities in people leadership to drive the greater social good, by treating rural and downtrodden patient’s pro-bono, even travelling to some of the remotest parts of the Country without any help.

Early Life
Dr.Om Prakash Prasad was born to B.N.Prasad and Bina Devi. He married Karuna Chaudhary (also a doctor by profession) and has a son, Anubhav Prakash, who is perusing M.B.B.S course in Era’s Medical College, Lucknow.
Education
Dr. Om Prakash Prasad has done his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Darbhanga Medical College, Lehariasarai, Darbhanga, Bihar in 1997. Doctor of Medicine (MD) Medicine, from Patna Medical College, Patna University, Bihar in the year 2003, and D.M (Neuro) from Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital, Delhi University, New Delhi in the year 2010. Senior residency in Neurology from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow (2003-2006).He has successfully completed Headache Master School India in 2014. He has a cumulative residency experience of more than 9 years,3 years in Medicine and 6 years in Neurology (3 Years Senior Residency in SGPGI, Lucknow & 3 Years DM at G.B.Pant, New Delhi). Apart from routine OPD and IPD care, he had the experience of working in Neurology Intensive Care Unit (4 months), Movement Disorders Clinic (2 years), Botox Clinic (3 months), Intractable Epilepsy Clinic (2 years), Nerve & Muscle Clinic (2 years) and Stroke Clinic (3 months).
Biography
Dr Prasad presently runs his own neurology clinic, Sri Sri Neuro Centre, Warangal, Telangana. Alongside this, he works as the Consultant Neurologist at Rohini Hospital. Hanamkonda, Warangal. He specializes in treating patients with Headache, Vertigo, Epilepsy, Movement disorders, Stroke, Nerve & Muscle disorders. With a single-minded focus on helping patients with Vertigo, he participated in “Vertigo Management” , Workshop at Kolkata, and strengthened his skills to serve his patients to the best of his capacities. Dr. Prasad ensures best possible treatment and speedy recovery of his patients by taking care of their medicinal needs as well. Medicines for treating neurological diseases aren’t available everywhere, especially in the rural areas, consequently causing delays in treatment for patients. To solve this problem, he started a doorstep medicine delivery service for his patients. This initiative has been crucial in saving the lives of hundreds of people in and around Warangal. His approach to serving humanity is not restricted to treating patients, but also uplifting them, creating awareness, helping them overcome the taboo associated with neurological disorders, and developing lost cognitive abilities. Every year, he organises awareness programs on epilepsy, stroke & migraine. In addition, Dr.Prasad has arranged several drawing competitions for epileptic children at his clinic. To support those affected by leprosy, he donated a bore well to the leprosy colony, and distributed ration and fruit to the colony’s residents. Determined to help people as much as possible, Dr. Prasad sponsored the development of a science lab to A.B.M Govt. High School, Warangal in the year 2018, and building of a toilet at Government High School, Warangal in the year 2017. To offer his support to the families of corona warriors (Doctors and Police officers) who have lost their lives while serving for the nation, he donated Rs.10000 to each family associated with Nathan's Learning Forum & IMA Warangal. Apart from these social service pursuits, he has contributed to seven research projects, and participated in 8 international conferences as well as 6 national conferences related to neurology and medicine. He is a member of International and National organizations including American Association of Neurology, Indian Academy of Neurology, Indian Epilepsy Association, and the International Headache Society. He is a lifetime member of Telangana Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association.

On 22nd December 2021, Dr. Om Prakash was honoured with Asia GCC Award as “ICONIC HEALTHCARE LEADER AWARD- NEUROLOGIST” for Excellence & Leadership in Healthcare by FAMA Global Management Services. In June 2021, Dr. Om Prakash was honoured with “Top 10 most trusted neurologist” award at the Golden Aim Awards, organised by Dynergic Business Solutions. He was recognized as the “Best Emerging Neurologist in Telangana” at the Nationwide Health Care Conclave & Awards 2020. Suman Art Theatres also presented the “Vaidya Ratna” Award to Dr. Prasad in 2017. The famous Guinness World Records recognized Dr. Prakash for participation in the largest men’s health awareness lesson with 487 attendees. The event was organized by MNJ Institute of Oncology and JB Group of Educational Institutions (Both in India) at Hyderabad, Telangana, India on 26th October 2018. He Successfully completed “Headache Master School” India in 2014. He Attended workshop on Diagnosis & Management of Vertigo & Balance Disorder organized by Society for Education and Research on Vertigo, Deafness & Tinnitus at Kolkata. Social Activities
He conducted Blood Donation camps in association with MGM Hospital annually conducted at our clinical premises, for the past 4 years. He also conducted Epilepsy awareness programmes for students at various schools in Tri cities, Warangal. He performed Parkinson’s awareness programme and special education on "Deep Brain Stimulation” for patients and their attendants conducted at our clinic premises in 2016, on account of world Parkinson’s day. He had done Plantation and distribution of books at various Government schools in Warangal. Supports SOS children’s Villages of India
