Doubting Tomas is a hard rock band based in Phoenix, Arizona, and London, England.

History and Overview

Doubting Tomas was founded by Bill Brewster (Billy B) under the Brewster Entertainment Company in 1980 during the Iron Curtain in Nuremberg, Germany.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] Since its inception, the band has undergone several personnel and name changes. The artists spent hours in the attic of the former German Army barracks practicing and jamming to music such as that of the Scorpions and Accept. Doubting Thomas grew with the influence of pop hard rock bands like Journey, Foreigner, Styx, and REO Speedwagon.[2]

Doubting Tomas consists of Alex VanTrue, the lead singer, and William Brewster, the lead guitarist and an occasional vocalist. Robert Sarzo has written some songs for the band, and Eddie Kramer has produced some songs.

In October 2013, after an extended break, the band released its first song.[2]

In 2020, Doubting Tomas released its album Shattered, with nine songs featuring Amanda Power on the vocals (her first album). The album also features Billy Brewster (lead guitar), Jeff Rose (Drums), and Sergio Unzueta (bass).[1][9]
