Doctor Fresh
Ezeaku Chukwuemeka Collins (born 17 December 2006) better known by his stage name Doctor Fresh, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter. Known for his melodic trap style, versatility and vocal styles. He started music as a 13-year-old rapper and a singer in 2020.[1]
Early Life
Chukwuemeka was born on (17 December, 2006). He hails from ohebedim in igbo etiti local government area in Enugu. He was four years old when his late father Ezeaku Christopher was late on April 16, 2011. He was raised by his mother, Ezeaku Kate Who is an accountant and a graduate of University of Nigeria Nsukka, She is bread winner of their family.[2]. He has a younger sister, Ezeaku Ifeoma[3]. He came from a middle class background and was raised in the Christian faith.
Career
Chukwuemeka developed a passion for music as a teenager. This interest was created by listening to Hipop, trap, r&b and Afro beats sounds by leading artist like Juice WRLD, Post Malone, Pop Smoke and Rema amongst others. Chukwuemeka's mother ensured that he received the best form of education her income could afford. He attended top private school in his junior secondary, he is attending his senior secondary at Day Secondary School in Enugu. Ever since Chukwuemeka discovered his passion for music he steadily pursued a music career as a high school student, he spent his leisure hours composing original songs, which he performed to the administration of his friends and school mates. He also thrilled his classmate's with freestyle rap songs during lunch break. With the advent of social media use in the country, Chukwuemeka began to post videos of his freestyle songs on social media page's. He kept on creating music with his mobile phone during this period, refining his sounds in the process and becoming a better rapper, singer and songwriter. Many people were intrigued that he was able to fuse sing and rap sounds together to create delightful music.
Chukwuemeka was a comedy actor in 2019 in a comedy group Iyoo Comedy. He is the producer, director and the editor of the comedy skits. The comedy group was created for fun and for his friends who are funny . Chukwuemeka became passionate for music in 2020 . He normally freestyle with his friends in his leisure time, and took it to the next level when he started producing music with his smart phone [4], which he learned from YouTube videos, and became an independent artist.[5]. He got advice from his friends and quotes of some rappers which motivated him.
