Guantanamo detainee Hafizullah Shabaz Khail told his Combatant Status Review Tribunal that he was falsely denounced and arrested in retaliation for catching Taj Mohammed committing highway robbery.[1] Khail told his Tribunal that an investigation determined that Taj Mohammed had robbed a businessman of 200,000 Khaldars. Khail testified he made Taj Mohammed pay the businessman back.
Khail attributed his capture and transportation to Guantanamo to false allegations leveled against him by his captor, Abdullah Mujahid, Taj Mohammed's mentor.[1]
