Overview and History
Headquarter in Long Island, New York, CEO David Clausen founded Coastal Insurance Solutions on January 1, 2001.[1][3] It was established to specifically meet the unique needs of homeowners on Long Island, NY coasts.[4]
"We began to narrow our focus and capabilities toward properties located on the water. Inherent in that are homes of higher value." said CEO David Clausen on the early rise of Coastal Insurance Solutions.
In recent years, Coastal Insurance Solutions has grown considerably by expanding its focus toward High-Value Home Insurance all over the country.[2] This strategy of state expansion resulted in 26% year-over-year premium growth in 2021.[5]
"This shift really began at the request of our clients who wanted to partner with Coastal Insurance Solutions on their full portfolio and not limit the service to seasonal homes on the coast," said David Clausen.[2]
