Christopher Terry Anderson also known as Chris Anderson (born April 21, 1963) is an American entrepreneur, known for being a leader in security and parking management systems and methodology for almost twenty years. He is the founder and CEO of Silvertrac Software, a company that provides real-time security officer tracking and incident reporting software systems for private security owners and operators.[1]

Biography

Anderson attended Rio Hondo College in 1982, marking the beginning of his path in the security sector. His initial steps led him to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, a role that held deep personal significance as he continued a family legacy. In 1992, a pivotal moment occurred when Anderson lost his father, prompting him to take a leave from the department to support his mother through difficult times. During this challenging period, an unexpected opportunity arose for Anderson to join a friend's security business.[1][2] This marked a significant shift from law enforcement to private security, a change he embraced while maintaining his commitment to protecting and serving.

Anderson's career commenced in the late 1990s, focusing on unique protocols for tracking vehicles and enforcing parking regulations in apartment and condominium communities. This laid the foundation for successful collaborations with the L.A. County Sheriff's Department and District Attorney's Office, as well as contributions to legislation (AB-527) related to parking enforcement on private property.

In the early 1990s, Anderson expanded his scope to include product distribution, marketing, training, and consulting services for major municipalities, educational institutions, and private entities. His current focus with Silvertrac USA Incorporated centers on developing a comprehensive control, tracking, and enforcement protocol for residential community management.

In 1994, he established Anderson Management Systems, Inc., a regional service developer and provider of Parking Management, Enforcement, Facilities Management, and Security Services[3] until its sale in 2007.

After selling his company in 1997, Anderson continued to innovate and expand his software to cater to multi-family property management, the security industry, commercial properties, and service vendors.[3][4]
