The CCGS Dumit is shallow draft vessel operated by the Canadian Coast Guard.[1] Her main duty is the placement and maintenance of navigational buoys on the Mackenzie River system. She and a sister ship, CCGS Eckaloo, were ordered in 1993, and refitted in 2014.[2]

She ran aground off the mouth of the Hay River on October 16, 2022.[3] The grounding was described as embarrassing to Canada's Federal government, as she was a Federal government vessel whose grounding was claimed to be due to a short sighted termination of a Federal dredging program.
